Dun dun dun

Hey peeps!! Its finally here! We just got the first 50 copies of our book entitled Ninjas Zombies Pirates! Here are a few pictures! :D

Steambun is moving forward ever so slowly as i am also right in the middle of animating some 40+ scenes for another project. I'm hoping to clear my plate of unfinished projects pretty soon.

Hello peeps! I didn't mean to be away for too long but i was busy with a couple of things and was sick just this past week. :D glad to be back and functioning.

So ummmm first things first. The image above was made for a book that a bunch of friends and i were working on in the last couple of months. It should be going in for printing this week. Each artist had to submit 2 pieces, this was my 1'st piece. It was a very interesting project, lot of fun and learning and also a lot of alchohol and chicken wings were consumed :D hahaha.

Thanos

Hi guys, just something i whipped up quickly this morning to help tide things over until i do a proper update :). Sorry for the unkempt schedule and the sloppy colours.

Thanos and Adam Warlock were some of my favourite characters from when i was a kid. Thanos is one of my all time favourite villains ahead of even Doctor Octopus and Dr. Doom. His badassness is unmatched.

I will be updating Steambun Samurai at around the 2nd week of may. Things are quite busy as i am also working on another project with an awesome bunch of people that i hope to be announcing soon! :) Exciting stuff. Anyway's, thanks to everyone for stopping by and the very kind and awesome comments. I'll make it a point to get back at everybody this weekend. STEAMBUN SAMURAI !!

Hey guys! I've been trying to update more frequently, like every 10 days but this last 2 weeks have been pretty busy!

Anyways I'm super stoked to let you peeps know that i'm launching the Steambun Samurai blog which is a comic i'll be working on mostly to learn and earn some comic booking chops, while at the same time trying to entertain you guys. Sound like a good deal? Hopefully!! Anyways the picture above is the 2 main characters Mosuke (big guy) and Mie ( the little girl), which will also be the new header for the afformentioned blog! :D Anyways roll on over for more details. Looking forward to this. I hope you guys will aswell! :)



Above are the process images of the rough and the cleaned image before i started moving things around. :D My roughs are very incomplete because i mostly try to just get some energy in my lines and then i'm happy :D. Something else i have to get better at though is keeping the same energy in my clean up which i find i lose a lot of.

Hey hey! Well here's another character from this project i'm working on. She took quite a while to design and i think i'm set on this. On another note i was quite foolish to think that i can get a book done early next year and i have just realized this might take a little more than a year to finish. I still have some characters to design and to craft a better story! :D Stay tuned though.


These are 2 of the process drawings i have for the mask. I can't seem to find the rest of the other 50 drawings i went through to get to where i am now with this character. I shall post them at a later date when they are found! :D


I have recently gotten back into life drawing and i noticed there were a lot of inconsistencies with the way i draw muscles. So i'm kinda trying to learn and familiarize my self with how they are grouped and the way they move under certain gestures. I am 100% nay 200% sure these are not accurate at all but i am learning a lot from this really good book called The Anatomy Figure Drawing Handbook and my life drawing intructor. Anyways it was fun to draw random arm positions and lay the muscles work down and color the bone in. More as it develops :D!

Welp, this is Rebecca from Resident Evil. I always thought she was very well designed and is my favourite character from the series! :D I think i'm slowly getting comfortable with coloring, and yet there are still so many things to improve upon! This year feels like its gonna be a wild ride towards improvement :) *the road is loooooooooooooooong....

experiments and []\/[]A[]_[]_S :D!!

First off, a quick thanks for the support and feedback from the last post to all you peeps! Y'all really fire me up!!

Alright this is an experiment of a filter like the ones seen in old films or grindhouse movies (been playing house of the dead overkill and it has inspired me to try something new out :D) Not really close to what i envisioned but turned out pretty cool hahaha.

These last 2 are from this mondays mall sketch trip with Jarret and Chan. It was weird because everyone in the food court had a sad face on, maybe cause it was monday :D! Anyways it was fun! Good times i say, good times!!

project # 1!

well i was a little hesitant to post about this but since i had nothing better to post i thought what the hell.

this is probably whats gonna keep me busy this year. i'm in the process of designing a couple more characters and fleshing out the storyline. the working title right now is Maskara ( which in my native tongue Tagalog means Mask.) I know pretty unimaginative but keep in mind its a work in progress :D and the name may change at a later date. i have 2 friends i'm working closely with on this and they lurk within the blogosphere. i trust them a lot and hopefully i can show you more when the time comes. the ultimate goal is to have a book out by the end of this year early next year.

mall outing

well i went to the mall today with jarret chan and shaun today. and this is what i came up with :D!chan was about the only one in the whole entire food court that held a pose long enough for me to get somewhere with so here we go! :D
here's a quick thing of hulk and thing which oddly enough started with me trying to draw two eggs. :D
this was from the last mall sketch trip but i figured what the hell.
this one i did for my sister's class in which she deals with kids with autism. this is Kosta, one of her students. this illustration is to be used for showing them how loud they are and where they would prefer them to be. it was fun! :D

unico, akuma

well i've been away for awhile :D but i couldn't let december roll by without an update. even if it is the end of the month already. hahaha.

after watching unico with nicole and being really impressed by this brilliant movie and its simple designs ( gone are the days of simple and meaningful character designs in today's anime). i felt like i needed to put some digital marks on digital paper. :D

street fighter fever: conclusion

well i guess this marks the end of my current street fighter obsession! :D i'm not to sure about the background and colors as i don't really do much of both (something i think i'll be concentrating more on ).

one of my favourite things to do in street fighter is to beat people using dan hibiki. yes he may seem like a joke but in the hands of a patient person he can be pretty devastating. nothing like finishing someone with a shinku gadouken! :D :D

caved in and got a tablet pc. I figured i might as well. So here's my first digital drawing. this will make updating a lot easier minus the scanning of paper. though majority of my updates will still probably be scanned from paper :) I love paper.
