weeeeell my x-men entry is super late :|..... couldn't make my mind up about the colors. still feels like it isn't done but thats always the case :D.

I love the draugthsmanship and expression in your drawings. They look dynamic and effortless. I can see Sean Galloway's influence.

To answer ure question about the paint job here is what i did:
1. scanned in the drawing, set to multyply layer
2. blocked in colors while trying to keep in mind the overall feel of the bar scene or the room scene(put a lot of thought into lighting)
3. using a normal round brush i rendered the color layout while working on 2 layers to save ram, payed close attention to the edges of the objects and used a hatching style of brushwork which is what gives it the texture.
For reference i looked at Emrah Elmash, JC Leyendecker, and thought about NC wyeth's Treasure Island.
4. deleated sketch
Once again... awesome. I dont think I have ever seen colossus bare foot before, and it took me a second to realize that was a hand coming after him. Once all that came into focus it equaled awesome. good work.
