well i've been away for awhile :D but i couldn't let december roll by without an update. even if it is the end of the month already. hahaha.
after watching unico with nicole and being really impressed by this brilliant movie and its simple designs ( gone are the days of simple and meaningful character designs in today's anime). i felt like i needed to put some digital marks on digital paper. :D

I got a few eps of the 80's astroboy over the holidays. All of the stories are so simple yet effective.. and Astro's so damn agreeable lol. I love it!

Haha, I kinda knew that, but I didn't want to say for sure, so I stuck it to Astro. Tezuka Osamu? I guess I could google it.. really no reason for mistakes in the age of google lol

neat post, never heard of this anime movie but a few good simple designs i remember are the old lupin the 3rd stuff, Tekkonkinkreet had fairly simple designs for what it was but you're right about the simple stuff...maybe Deadleaves? did you see that one? it's pretty crazy.

I think simple is great.. Although I tend to be quite jealous of those who are great at elaborate designs

I'm the opposite right now, I have to get the brush to the paper and move away from the simple designs I have to create at work. As much as I love the "simple" I love the intricate that looks simple more. Ah, that ever elusive perfect line haunts my dreams.
